About Jersey Squash and Racketball Association
The Jersey Squash and Racketball Association (JSRA), formed in 1949, is the island's governing body for squash and racketball. Its aim is to promote and develop the games of squash and racketball (squash 57) in Jersey.
The JSRA is a not for profit organisation (NPO 0920) run by a committee of volunteers.

Susan Turpin
Susan Turpin née Tupper comes from a long dynasty of racket sports enthusiasts. The Tuppers are regularly found playing Squash, Racketball and Table Tennis at sporting venues across the Island. Susan is mum to four young squash players, all captivated by the skills and speed of the game. She has represented the Island for Squash at the Island Games and the European Team Championships. Susan is now a volunteer coach for the Jersey Squash Academy. Racket sports have always been the passion but Susan is also a qualified accountant with several years of experience in the Finance Sector. Susan hopes to actively encourage more girls to get into squash. In 2024, Susan was player/manager for a young ladies team headed to Romania for the European Team Championships. Come on the Girls!

Coach
ANTONY HARKIN
Antony started playing in 2010 after being introduced to squash through the club's development programme at his primary school. He immediately fell in love with the sport and attended weekend and after-school coaching programmes. Having progressed through the junior ranks he has now taken on the role as the Jersey squash club's head coach and runs a very well attended junior academy (he is a level 3 England Squash & Racketball Coach) Antony regularly represents Jersey's A team in international events and won both silver and bronze medals at the 2019 island games.

AARON LE CORNU
Having taken a break from squash for a number of years, Aaron has been a regular Racketball player for the last 15 years. He also plays Tennis and Padel tennis, when he’s not skiing or sailing his Hobie Cat. After 30 years in the Finance sector (Andersen, HSBC, Elian etc) Aaron is now pursuing a portfolio career, serving as Non-Executive Director for several companies as well as running his own consultancy company.

Matt Boote
Matt started playing squash aged 10, playing intermittently until university where he played more regularly. After receiving coaching and putting in a lot of solo practice, he was selected to captain the South African Knights touring squash team in 2016. This appointment exposed him to over 40 different squash clubs in the UK including Jersey. He played for South Africa in 2022 and, since arriving in Jersey, has represented the Island in Inter-insular competitions and the Island Games in Orkney in 2025. Matt has a passion for the game, expressing this through coaching and entertaining when playing. He also loves the camaraderie which the sport develops off the court. Matt is the Club Director of the Jersey Squash & Racketball Club at St Clements and is the first point of contact for any new members.
WARD JENNER
Ward has been an active member of Racketball Ouest since inception and occasionally wins the odd match in the Diamond division out in the wild west. More often he is found floundering in the St Clement’s team league on a Wednesday evening but is at his best either working behind, or propping up, the bar. Has formerly had the dubious honour of being the only player in history to captain both Jersey and Guernsey at cricket. Son, nephew and niece are all on the honours board at JSRC as age group squash champions. Ward is unlikely to replicate these achievements.
JONATHAN PETERS
Jonathan first ventured onto the squash courts in 1964, aged 12, at the New Era cinema site - long before any of the current facilities were built. Early encounters representing Victoria Colllege in inter-insulars and local leagues were followed by many years playing for the OV’s at squash. Recently becoming a septuagenarian, he still plays for the OV’s in the more sedate sport of Racketball. Although squash has tended to dominate his racket sport preferences, he represented Jersey at Badminton, both as a junior and senior player and tennis as a veteran! His other sporting interests include hockey, windsurfing and golf. Jonathan is now retired and is keen to see the sports he so enjoyed, flourish on the island, particularly with reference to the next generation of players.​
KATE CADIGAN
Kate is a long time squash enthusiast having first picked up a racket age 6 at the old rugby club courts. Squash has, and continues to be, a big part of her life whether as a player, volunteer or member of which ever club community she has been fortunate enough to be a part of. She is passionate about the development and inclusivity of squash and racketball and the role volunteers play in this. She hopes to help others access similar opportunities and experiences to the ones the sport has given her.
Kate has captained county and university teams and played for Wellington and the South West of England. She has also represented Jersey at a number of Island Games, the European championships and the 2010 Commonwealth games. She was previously on the JSRA committee for 8 years. Formerly a paramedic, Kate is a mother of 3 young children and works in communications.
